摘要:
采用球磨法一步制备硅溶胶与羟基硅油形成的Pickering乳液。通过改变硅溶胶pH可以使制备的乳液发生油包水型(W/O)到水包油型(O/W)的转相。在硅溶胶中,NaCl浓度0.1 mol/L,SiO2质量分数6%的条件下,当pH<2时形成稳定W/O型乳液; 当pH=3~8时形成稳定O/W型乳液; 当pH>9时形成W/O型乳液,但不能稳定存在; pH=2与9时为乳液的转相点且乳液容易凝胶。对乳液中的颗粒进行傅里叶红外光谱(FT-IR)和热分析(TGA)表征。结果表明:在球磨制备乳液的过程中,SiO2颗粒表面化学接枝了羟基硅油。羟基硅油接枝率为6.3%的改性颗粒易于稳定O/W型乳液; 羟基硅油接枝率为12.3%以上的改性颗粒易于稳定W/O型乳液。电解质的加入有助于增强乳液颗粒间絮凝作用,提升乳液的稳定性,但电解质的过量加入会使颗粒絮凝程度加剧,不利于乳液稳定。乳液粒径随硅溶胶中SiO2颗粒和NaCl浓度的增加而减小。NaCl浓度增加时,所制备乳液的奥氏熟化效应逐渐减缓,SiO2质量分数的变化对所制备乳液的奥氏熟化效应影响不大。
Abstract:
Pickering emulsion was prepared from silica sol and hydroxyl terminated silicone oil in one step by ball milling.The inversion of emulsion from water-in-oil(W/O)to oil-in-water(O/W)was caused by changing pH of the silica sol.Under 0.1 mol/L NaCl and 6% SiO2 in silica sol,stabled W/O or O/W emulsions were prepared when pH was lower than 2 or 3-8,respectively,while at the inversion point pH=2 or 9,the emulsions were transformed into gels.When pH >9,W/O type emulsions could be prepared but they were unstable.Particles in Pickering emulsions were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and thermal gravity analysis(TGA).Results showed that silica particles were modified by hydroxyl terminated silicone oil during ball milling.The modified particles grafted with 6.3% of silicone oil were suitable for stable O/W emulsions while particles grafted with 12.3% of silicone oil or more were suitable to stable W/O emulsions.Adding electrolytes helped to enhance the flocculation of particles in emulsion and to improve the stability of emulsion,but adding excess electrolytes would aggravate the flocculation of particles and affect the stability of emulsion.Emulsion droplet size decreased with the increasing of the concentration of SiO2 and NaCl in silica sol.The increase of the concentration of NaCl in silica sol could the waken Ostwald ripening effect,however,it had no direct relationship with the concentration of SiO2.
